Combining experienced talent from the photo-real and full-CG worlds, our animation team is dedicated to offering you top-notch animation for biped and quadruped characters, and all flavors of imaginary creatures. Technology
Saturday Animation Studio is a full-service animation facility producing animated television series and feature films. Locally - and independently - owned and operated, Saturday Animation Studio has accelerated its recent growth by consolidating its production pipeline along two strategic axes.
TRADITIONAL PIPELINE
First, by embracing GPU rendering technologies our studio has significantly increased its ability to output high-quality linear content at maximum velocity. Coupled with a traditional, custom-built 3D pipeline including Shotgun, Maya and Houdini, our Redshift or V-Ray rendering solutions delivers on a broad spectrum of artistic expectations ranging anywhere from cartoon to hyperrealism.
REAL-TIME PIPELINE
More recently, at Saturday Animation Studio we have taken another sharp turn by implementing Epic’s Unreal engine into our pipeline. This approach now enables us to reinvest our significant cost savings into additional artistic iterations, better continuity control and finer overall content polishing. We delivered the two first seasons of Zafari, a 2 x 26 episodes animated series distributed by NBC-Universal-Dreamworks, using this pipeline. The studio is now working on our second franchise with this technology.
